Chapter 1

The percussion of the drums filled the warm Caribbean night sky, as the torches lit up a beautiful leafy green trail that led to the beach. Oshun’s followers were full of joy. They were chanting and dancing in the distance. The people were celebrating the festival of Oshun. Oshun is the Goddess of water, love, and unity in the Yoruba faith. The sounds of the drum were getting closer and closer, they rhythmically infused with the chanting. Oshun’s followers marched toward the manmade altar on the beach. Enchanted voices filled the night sky, as the gentle cool breeze blew swaying the tall

coconut and palm trees gently from side to side. The dancers wore white and yellow. The priest wore white with a yellow sash and priestess wore beautiful yellow flowing dresses. One priestess smoked a cigar holding a yellow fan.   The worshipers stopped at the altar made up of the Goddesses favorite things: and the priestess spoke loudly and harmoniously. Her voice married the rhythm of the drums divinely. Inviting the Goddess Oshun to come down from heaven and visit them. She bit open a cola nut and took a knife and cut the nut into four pieces. She offered one piece to the Goddess dropping the piece of cola nut into the water. She ate one piece giving a third piece to a beautiful darkskinned priestess. She had on a beautiful loose fitting yellow dress. The drummer's tempo became faster and faster. As the young lady’s body swayed waving fluently to the beat of the drum. Arms outstretched she whirled around and round. Water dripped from her dress as she turned. The priestess blew the smoke from the cigar into her face. She paused for a moment then walked towards the water.   She smiled and reached down into the water raising her hands touching her body grazing her womb and her breast. Rhythmically

flowing her body moving gracefully glistening in the night’s sky with a glowing smile that could only be match by the beauty of the moon. She danced with a few men elegantly. Drums creating a trance like state. Faster and faster drummers played like in a trance themselves. Oshun’s children were ecstatic because the Goddess had chosen to join in the celebration. Then Oshun screamed, a horrible screech that sent some frantically scurrying,  “Stop them they are killing the earth! If you do not stop them, my brothers, sisters, and I will leave the earth. Stop them!”       She looked up and exhaled. The body that she used for that short time just collapsed. They quickly grab the priestess, so that she wouldn’t be hurt. She fell back into the water the priest and priestess watched Oshun leave the priestess’ body and ascend back into the astral plane of heaven. Once Oshun returned to the plane of spirits her frustration overwhelmed her she screamed,  “All our children are divided!!!  We must find a way to help them!”    When she cried in heaven her tears turned into storms on earth.

“I must meet with Eledumare, Ptah, Bes and Ra. I will call for a meeting of all the Gods every one of them. Something has to be done. They have hidden us from our children and replaced us with Gods who never existed. Eledumare!!!!”  Oshun screamed so loud calling all the Gods from their slumber. Calling out to all the Gods,  “Come speak with me.” They came one by one in flashes of light. They held a meeting like never before. Ra, Eledumare, Ptah, and Bes sat at the head of the table the second roll seated Osiris, Olorun, Obatala, Isis and Oshun and every god under them set and discussed the problem at hand, the problem that has lasted well over 2000 years.    Oshun simply could not take it anymore she said,  “Brothers, all of our children need us.”    “We cannot mingle in their affairs,”  Osiris said. “So, shall it be above. So, shall it be below!”    “Osiris you say that as if you do not love our children.”

“Be careful Oshun how you speak for me. I have loved our children from their conception.”    “As do we all.”   “But our quarrel is not with each other. We have to find an immediate solution for what is going on.”     Shango shouted with lightning in the background.  “We should kill all of the non-Africans in one night.”  Olorun laughed.   “My son they are all our children even the non-Africans.”  Ra smiled in agreement,  “They are but a few that have hidden the truth from the masses. They have tried to remove the existence of us from the stone walls of history.”  The god Set, quietly watching the debate of the gods.   “They have replaced Horus with Jesus!”   “And our children call to him. And nowhere in all of heaven does he exist. They have removed Isis and Oshun from the story of creation and replaced her with this Holy Spirit.”    Eshu the god of doorways and openings spoke,

“That is the opening for destruction. It is as clear as Oshun’s water. It is their death that waits for our children. It is their disrespect for the woman that brings them closer to their demise. So, shall it be above. So, shall it be below.”    Eledumare and Ra looked at one another and whispered.  “There can only be one solution.”  Olorun spoke first,  “They don’t even pray to us. They pray to this Jesus and he never was. They allowed the enemy to steal us away from them to hide us in plain sight, as if we Gods never even existed.”  “Some remember the old ways and know how to call us, and we go to the aid. They have forgotten how to get their prayers answered.”    Ra spoke “Is there one who is worthy to be given the title?”    The other gods murmured. They raised their voices not understanding the wisdom of Ra but Eledumare knew exactly what Ra was speaking of. Now he responded to Ra.   “Yes, that could do it! Surely there is one?”    All the deities chanted, “Could there be one? Could there be one? Could there be One?”   “There are too many Kings.” “This is the problem.”

“Yes, I see now, they are too divided, and their division makes them weak!” “One King!” “One strong King!” “Yes, Yes!  “That would solve all the problems.”  “How would they know who would be King?  “We would choose him of course!”   “But who?”  “There is one,” Oshun spoke. “I have one, who has since birth cried and pleaded for the unity of all Africans, but the Young Ones will not yield their authority. They will not easily give up their Kingdoms.”   Ptah said, “We will bless the one to be King.”   Bes spoke, “What are we talking about King? King of what?   “King of all of Africa!”   “We will be there with him all of us to support him, to stand behind him, to protect him, and to guide him in the ways of the old and the new.”   “We will stay there until we are no longer needed!”   “Ase!”   “Amen!”

“Now go all of you, let the children know about this decision.”  “Protect the King, he must return to the land of his fore mother and father.”  “Make it so!”   They left in the blink of an eye. Each deity left the heavens seeking the wise ones on earth. The faithful one’s, the one’s that remember the old ways. The one’s of the Yoruba, Vodun, and the Craft of Amon Ra. And while the elders, seers, oracles, and Root Doctors slept they heard the gentle whisper that a King will come. “Prepare the people and protect the King. We will support him. We will protect him. He will be the King of all Africans no matter where they live on earth. He and he alone will be responsible for you all.”    Everyone with the third eye open saw and heard the words of the deities. “Wake them so that they know that it was us that did this, that it was all of us together that made one-man King of Africa.” “We should search his soul to see if the one is worthy.”  “We must constantly check him.” said Ma’ats mother of the earth “Checking against the forty-two principles, teach him.” Oshun called out to the other Gods again

this is the one I have chosen. “See him through my eyes.”   There he is just fifteen years old. Seth was almost 6 ft tall 190 lbs. thick muscular build. His strong arms were built like the arms of the strong Zulu Warriors. At his root his legs were strong and built for the hunt. His lean physique made him a true representation of royalty. Wide chest long ripped stomach muscles. Seth had beautiful thick lips like the Olmec and kind of African nose like the great Sphinx of Egypt possessed. He had big strong hands that gripped with the whole strength of his arms.    His mother and father have done well with him. They have taught him how to respect all things. They have taught him to defend his family by any means necessary. He has been raised to be a leader. He is well versed in many weapons and tactics. Most of all he is humble. He will serve us well.   “He is strong and worthy. One by one let us commune with him.” Ra and Olorun, “We will go first.  We will visit him and invite him to our intentions.”   “Don’t you think that’s a bit too much one day he lives a normal life the next day he is visited by the great Ra and Olorun, and next he

will be visited by every deity that ever existed since the beginning of time.” Oshun interrupted,   “Please, oh great ones. Before we give him such a heavy burden, let us use his ancestors the ones closest to him, to seek him out and let him know of our intentions. Then when our intentions are known you may have your way.”    Ra spoke,” That is wise of you. We will seek your way, but we have no time to waste.   That night as Seth slept in his bed. He dreamt that he was walking through a wooden trail. And as he walked the trail he came across an older woman. He greeted her in passing, thinking nothing of the encounter. The woman called him by name. He turned immediately towards the woman. He recognized the voice but was in disbelief. He said, it couldn’t be! Grandma, how could this be? Then more family members came. Seth, said this can’t be real? How can this be possible? The dream was so vivid that he could feel their arms wrapped around him and smell the sweetness of the air. Seth met uncles that had passed on way before he was born.  They came to thank him and to show their respect. They all gathered in a circle and prayed over Seth. Seth still had questions

about what was going on. Why don’t we just sit down and prepared to eat. He was like “wow this is unbelievable” and when they spoke to him asking him questions about the living. They gently prepared him for what was the come.   “Grandma is that really you?”  “Yes, I’ve been with you all this time watching over you. Your father has done a fine job of raising you, but there is something that you need to know.  You have been given a great honor. No man in the history of the world, in the history of time, has ever received this honor that the Gods have bestowed upon you. You are truly a blessing to our family.”   “Grandma I don’t understand what you are talking about. I’m going to wake up tomorrow morning and this is going to just be a dream.”   “You’re going to wake up in the morning and things will never be the same again.”   “Hey, I know you. My father talks about you all the time you’re my uncle Dwayne.” Seth recognized another person in the dream.   “Yes, I am, your father always knew something was going on. He was always researching something. He was smart, and he did what was best for everybody. He wanted what was best for the world, and I think the
12

Gods saw that what was best for the world is you nephew. So, they bestowed upon you this great blessing.   “But what are you all talking about? What blessing? How am I chosen? Who Chose me?   Dwayne then stood next to his Grandmother. Dwayne looked at his grandmother with so much love. Then they both looked at Seth with so much love and pride saying, “the Gods have chosen you to be King.”   “King of what?” They smiled and said, “You will see.”   “Grandma, who are these people?” “These people with us are your family from generations past. They will walk through you one by one and bless you with their strength and knowledge to help prepare you for what is to come.”  “Wait! Wait! What do you mean? What is to come? They all are going to come? They all who?”   “All of the Gods of Africa. They are going to visit you, talk to you, and teach you things about the past, about now, and about the future. “Now Seth we will teach you how to pour libations.” “Libations, what is that Grandma?” “it is the pouring out a drink. It could be water, pop,
13

wine, beer or liquor in honor of those gods and ancestors who come before you. First thing, having a grateful mind. Pour out some of the liquid saying the name of an ancestor or deity then say the word ase. Ase is the divine force, power, or energy. It is the all-encompassing power behind everything in the universe. Then repeat until all of the liquid is gone. Sometimes this is done to drums and even if there is no drums Seth when you do this remember to.” She smiled at him. “Have some rhythm. Ase”      “What is this I don’t know if I’m ready?”   “Nephew you were born ready.”    He put his hands-on Seth’s shoulder and stepped towards him. There was a light, and Seth knew things that he had not known before. Eledumare, Ra and Olorun drew straws to see which God would go first. They laughed because in their hearts they knew that this was the only right thing to do.  Ra laughed, “Olorun I won. I will see my African son now.”    And in a blinding ray of light that seemed to come from everywhere. A sublime light so bright, that darkness could not hide from Ra’s Voice was strong and powerful.   “Behold I am Ra you know me I am the light of the Sun in the Egyptian hieroglyphs. I am

the Sun. I am the eye that oversees all things. I give you my blessings. You Seth King of all Africans. Your powers the world has never known. Your task is to unite all of Africa and all of Africa’s children.”   Ra left and Olorun appeared saying,    “You will have the support of every God that Africa has ever known the old and ancient ones. They will all visit you, and teach you, and guide you. They will never leave you. They will wait for your call and they will answer.    Olorun left, and Eledumare appeared, I am the Giver of Ase’ and i will bless you with an abundance of it. You will need it. Eledumare left and Bes appeared,    “You will know all of us,” he said.    Osiris appeared,   “You will unite all of your African brothers and sisters under you, King of Africa!”  Osiris left and Oshun appeared,   “All of the children of the world are your children.  Africa is the first to civilize mankind. It is through us that all is. Be gentle with your brethren they have been through so much.”   Then Oshun left and Isis appeared. Then one by one they all came to sit with and discuss in the deep waves the strategies which he will

have to use to defend his people. Then the Gods spoke, “If you call for us we will come, so it’s best that you know us by name.”   Seth asked, “What of Jesus?”   The African Gods all laughed,   “There is still a lot you have to learn.”  Seth was upset he was raised Baptist. Only to find this out now was a painful discovery. Isis told Seth of her story, of how Horace her son was born of Immaculate Conception. She then called Horus. Horus spoke,    “I am the closest to Jesus that you will get. The Young Ones took my story and changed my name to Jesus. I am the way, the truth, the light. I am the first Lamb of God, the first morning star, and the light of the world. His whole life story is a copy of mine. I am Horus, son of Osiris and Isis. You are to be initiated. We will all make you so that you are well qualified to be King of Africa.”   Seth awakened from his sleep soaked in sweat trembling uncontrollably as if he was wet in a snowstorm. It took a few minutes for him to get himself together, but he caught his breath. He moved slowly off the bed as if he was cold down in his bones. His first thought was to tell his mother, but he thought to himself that she

would just think that he was crazy. So, he got up and got his clothes together and went to the bathroom to shower for school.    As he showered, he felt so powerful almost magical. As he became overwhelmed by his emotions. He thought that that had to have been a dream. When he stuck his head under the waters of the shower and he closed his eyes he had a powerful flash back of the vision he had. The Goddess Oshun’s voice called to him. Seth almost fell in the shower from disbelief. “Goddess Oshun is that you?”   “Yes, it is I.”   "Goddess, I thought I was having a really good dream.” “No Seth it was no dream. Today as you go to school you will be visited by many Gods. The Gods of your people. The African people. I do not know, nor can I tell you how they will present themselves to you. So be open to receive them and they will receive you.”   “How will I know who is who?”   The Goddess laughed, “Oh you will know.”   Seth quickly got dressed. He made some oatmeal with dried cherries and apricots. As he ate, he savored the flavor of each spoonful like it was his first. It was gratitude that he was feeling. He was so grateful that he was chosen.

Oshun, said Seth, “Right now you will be very vulnerable. Keep your new title a secret for now. For we would not want the Young Ones to find out of your existence, before it is time. Rest assured that the moment they find out of your existence they will try everything in their power to stop you. So, you must keep it a secret for a while. We will keep them blinded to your presence until it’s time.”   Seth said, “I don’t understand everything, so I will trust you with all that I am and will ever be.”    Seth left the house for school not knowing how the day was going to unfold. On his way he saw a bird and thought it was a sign from the Gods. “Who is that?” He asked. There was no response. He saw a shadow move and he thought that was a sign. The way things were moving he was sure that he wouldn’t make it to school before another God appeared. He became disappointed when he reached the front doors of the school without any signs at all.  Seth sat down with his friends in the cafeteria. He was a little to himself as his friends were talking about the football game. They noticed that Seth wasn’t saying much. After a few
18

minutes they stopped and asked Seth                                   “What’s wrong?   What happened?”     “Huh, what? What you say?     “Seth what’s on your mind?”   “Sorry, I had this dream last night. It was so serious… ah, I don’t even want to talk about it. All I can say is that it was serious!”   “Wow, Seth It must’ve been crazy if it got you like that.”   “It was so real. I mean it was like I was really there.”   “Was it any girls there? Or were you dreaming of boys like you do any other time.”   “OK, that was a good one! “Seth laughed, saying Pay backs coming.” The bell rang and the they all laughed and walked to class.     During Lunchtime, Seth walked alone towards the cafeteria from class. He had an eerie feeling because all of a sudden, he felt alone. There was no one in the school but him. There was a quiet calm everywhere. He saw a beautiful cat. He questioned why a cat was in school. The cat looked at Seth and spoke,    “I’m Bestat, I’m the protector, do not underestimate my small size. My power is great.
19

I am known to have the head of a full-grown female lion in the heat of battle. I am with you on your way home today. I think you should walk through the woods.  With all the strange things that has been going on lately. Seth had lost his appetite and decided to leave school early. Seth looked around to see if any teachers were watching. He hit the metal bar and he walked swiftly away. Bestat ran beside him. He looked at her and in a blink of an eye she transformed into her war form a lioness.   “Turn right through the creek” Bestat said. Going home he saw in the creek what he thought was a crocodile. The crocodile turned towards him and spoke,  “I am Sobek, I am also protector of the King and I am with you.” Sobek told Seth there were many more gods waiting to meet him along the trail.  Seth thanked Sobek and continued his walked through the creek. He saw a hippopotamus and the short man with a mane of a lion on the back of the hippopotamus. The hippopotamus said, I am Taweret and the short man with the lion mane said,    “I am Bes. We will protect all the children born under your reign.”
20

Seth heard something running up on him from behind he turned quickly to see what it was. It was a fox.    “Hey little guy you startled me.”   “A fox!” the Jackal spoke, laughing heavily! “I am Anubis; I will preserve your honor.”    Then Seth saw that the grass ruffles. He could see the tall grass move, and he curious to see what it was. He strained his eyes trying to see into the tall grass. He was taken aback to see beetles. Black beetles and there were thousands of them. They were aggressive and fast. Before he knew they covered him and when they left him. One beetle stayed saying, “I am Khepri, and you are now reborn.”  Seth came to a clearing from the woods where the grass was green bright green and the winds blew swaying the grass gently from left to right. He noticed something in the grass. He noticed that the strange patterns of the grass. The grass formed a mouth and eyes in the hillside and then voice of the God spoke.    “I am Ma’at. Some call me Mother Nature I am the goddess of truth justice and harmony and I am with you.”    One by one they came. Seth was very humble always thanking the gods he leaves. the

woods it on his way home if he answers the door to his house he see flashes of red and black he steps back and to try to figure out what was going on it’s a God standing in the doorway and he introduces himself he says,   “I am Elegua and I am with you.”    Obatala said, “Seth I am with you.  A gentle breeze entered through the window, touching Seth face cooling him down from the hot day. The voice breeze gently whispered in his ears,    “Hello, I am Oya, and I am with you the goddess Yemaya, also finds that you are worthy. Now, that we have made ourselves known to you. We will send people to you to teach you all that you need to know.”   “What do you mean; I thought that you were Gods! Why couldn’t you just put the knowledge in my head?” She laughed and said,   “We are Gods not fools. For you to become King of Africa you will have to earn it. You will have to work for the people. You have not even set foot on African soil.  However, before you go there you have to know the written history of Africa. Once you step foot on African soil. You will understand, and someone will tell you the oral history. It is not until you
22

reach African soil. That you learn just how truly powerful you will become, unlike anyone on the earth.”    "You will have the ability to learn from the living and the dead. We will allow you to have conversations with any ancestor on any family line or lineage.”    Having second thoughts. Seth thought to himself. Why would I want to lead all Africans? I would be putting a death sentence on my head.  They killed Shaka Zulu, Lumumba, Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King Jr., Gaddafi. Anyone who thinks of leading the Africans are murdered, and I’m not even African, I’m African American and I’ve never even been to Africa.  Oshun appeared” “Seth have no fears, you know that this is what is needed, and we have chosen you to serve your people. Those others have died for you. You will not be killed. You will live 130 years. We task you with waking all the African people. We task you with reuniting them to us and us to them. We charge you with rejuvenating their spirits. We charge you with making them great again. “Oshun grabbed Seth by his hand and caressed his face.  Seth, never doubt that “YOU ARE AFRICAN.” Seth cried humbly, afraid, knowing the history of the black

leaders and that somehow, they are always murdered.  Somehow in some shape, fashion, and form they are always assassinated. You have the word of all African Gods. You will live with no fear. Child for we are all with you. You will not fail your people, our children, nor this world. You will not fail. Our blessings are upon you.  Now sleep my son for your lesson will begin in the morning.”
